“In the process of falling to the earth, seeping into the ground, and then emerging, water obtains information from various minerals and becomes wise.” Masaru Emoto
Scorpio is a feminine water sign, so you may like to think of this process of “seeping into the ground” as a deep sea diver, seeking the pearl at the bottom of the ocean. The “emerging” and becoming wise, is not only the retrieval of the pearl, but the wisdom earned from the complete journey of the dive.
This new moon (Nov. 18th AEST) is offering us an invitation to go places we’ve not yet traversed… to the depths of our being. To explore our fears, those which hold us back from living a passionately inspired life. It’s an invitation to stretch and take ourselves further than we’ve dared venture before.
Scorpio is said to rule “sex, death and taxes”. Death, both literal and metaphorical, is transformation, a transition from one state to another. So use this potent time to release yourself from what no longer brings joy and to plant the seeds of change and transformation. It’s an ideal time to explore your beliefs around sexuality and your own sexual nature. To question where those beliefs originated, are they yours or inherited? Time to question if your values are in alignment with your actions. The taxes part is also our shared resources. You may also like to question how you’re sharing your energy, be that of money or sex, and with whom. Is it a fair trade? Are your needs being met? If not, the moon, ruling emotions and our unconscious, can aid in bringing to the surface any underlying patterns of self sabotage and/or power imbalances.
“Sometimes you just have to die a little inside in order to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you.” Aagarn Shah
The Tarot card associated with Scorpio is the Death card.
I think of it as the season of Winter. Yes, the leaves have fallen from the trees and all can seem rather barren, but we know that life is ever changing and that a new season will surely follow. This is the time of night and a new day will dawn. The sun WILL always rise again. We can take comfort in this knowledge, as we may be mourning what may seem lost to us now.
I charged my Death card in my tarot deck, asking for a message for this new moon. and received The Hanged Man. The Hanged Man is a card of letting go, surrender and non attachment, a challenge for Scorpio energy which as a fixed sign likes to hold on (until it doesn’t!). We can, of course, choose to hold on, but this is the more painful option. The Hanged Man asks us to look from a different perspective, to turn things on their head. We’re now being asked to let go of any outdated and outmoded ways of being and to find new ways forward.
“We must begin by learning what it means to have enough… to feel gratitude for having been born on a planet so rich in nature and gratitude for the water that makes our life possible. If you open your eyes you will see that the world is full of so much that deserves our gratitude. When you have become the embodiment of gratitude, think about how pure the water that fills your body will be. When this happens, you, yourself will be a beautiful shining crystal of light.” Masaru Emoto,
Centre yourself with 3 deep breaths
Imagine yourself beneath a cleansing and purifying waterfall
Feel the water on your skin and then imagine it beneath your skin
Feel the water inside your body, seeing it as pure and crystal clear
Feel it moving freely throughout the body, clearing away any obstructions
Feel the replenishment it offers.
Now Imagine the purest of mountain streams
Visualise this stream coming into the area in which you live
Now see it coursing through the roads and streets cleaning everything in it’s path
See it moving across the entire country and then across the globe
Now say a prayer of Gratitude for the water
For the life it brings you
For the life it brings to all on our Planet
Bring your hands to your heart
Set an intention to bring pure expressions of Love to all that you say and do
Give thanks to yourself for your courage and commitment to making a good life for yourself and others
May it be so.
You may like to complete this process with an exhale of OM.
Wishing you many New Moon Blessings
